Scramble TV needs to be connected to a physical display. It’s not a mobile App or software that you run on your PC or laptop.
Scramble TV should be in a place where it can be seen by people – the more the merrier! It’s about giving people a persistent shared view into online worlds through various content, normalizing our real-life shared experience with online content – whether that content is social media, NFTs, or a view into your favorite metaverse.
Surprisingly, we spend more and more time online with our devices, yet very few real places that we hang out with friends and family show any kind of glimpse into online worlds that are relevant to the communities gathering there.
We believe that effective use of shared online experience in real locations would help businesses (especially small businesses) grow their communities more effectively. When people are succeeding at their business, they have more time to give back to their communities and think about big issues. It’s a virtuous cycle. So we are just as committed to helping a small shop get one more repeat customer as we are to redefining the very nature of media and communication through decentralization.
We also believe that shared online experience through persistent portals like Scramble TV is an important step toward the day when AR / VR become integrate in our lives.
In both of these examples, we are on a spectrum where a lot of infrastructure needs to be in place to get to future we imagine. Before we can run we need to take our first baby steps.
